RELAIS SCANNING is fully integrated with request management and electronic delivery.

Integrated scanning means that the system is automatically updated when a document is scanned.

It also means that the images produced can be picked up by Relais’ delivery applications and automatically sent.

Key to scanning with Relais is an interface that is easy for staff to learn and to use.  No matter what delivery method you are using the scanning process is the same; staff need learn only one interface.  If you are using the Relais Scanning Station the standard scanning features include:

the ability to view the page as it is scanned and to page backwards and forwards through the document

the ability to delete, insert and replace pages in a scanned image

the ability to modify the delivery method and / or delivery address at any time prior to closing the request

automatic separation of text and photographs on a single page, this eliminates the need to use dither settings, it means staff scan each page only once and it means the requester receives a document of superior quality

automatic annotation on each page, this can be used to automatically add a copyright message to every page in the document

support for color scanning using the Fujitsu fi-5750C scanner

support for multiple paper sizes, including Letter, Legal, B5, A4 and A3

Relais can use any TWAIN scanner (the scan operator will utilize the TWAIN interface pop-up within the Relais Scanner application). Relais can also use any scanner that is capable of connecting through the Kofax Adrenaline series of cards without the need of a popup-interface, the scan operator will directly use the Relais Scanner application. For a list of Kofax Adrenaline compatible scanners, please see the Kofax website's scanner configuration at http://scadmin.kofax.com/KCSearch/
