Description

Publication Type

The Book Request form defaults this field to Book.  The Journal/Article Request form defaults to Journal.  Use the list to select an alternate type appropriate for the request being entered.

Service Type

The Book Request form defaults this field to Loan.  The Journal/Article Request window defaults this field to Copy.  Use the list to select an alternate type appropriate for the request being entered.

Title of Publication

Stores the title of the material being requested.  i.e. American Journal of Ancient History (Max. 200 characters)

Author of Publication

Stores the author of the publication being requested. (Max. 100 characters)

Title of Article

Stores the article title being requested.  i.e.  Defining Ancient in American History  (Max. 120 characters)

Author of Article

Stores the name of the author of the article being requested.  i.e.  Orwell, George (Max. 120 characters)

Volume/Issue

Stores volume and issue information relating to the journal requested.  i.e. 31 (2).  Note that there is no standard for entry of volume and issue information. (Max. 50 characters)

Publication Date

Represents the publication date for the journal.  i.e. 2002

Pages

This field defines the page or range of pages being requested from the journal.  i.e.  4-28

Edition

Stores the edition being requested as appropriate. (Max. 20 characters)

Series Title

Stores the title of the series being requested. (Max. 120 characters)

Publisher

Defines the publisher of the material being requested. (Max. 250 characters)

Place of Publication

Defines the place of publication of the material being requested. (Max. 25 characters)

ISBN (ISBN-2)

There are two ISBN input fields designed to store the 13 character International Standard Book Number assigned to monograph materials.

ISSN (ISSN-2)

There are two ISSN input fields designed to store the 8 character International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) assigned to periodical publications.  i.e.  1234-5678

Additional Numbers/Letters

Stores other relevant number/letters or codes for the material being selected. (Max. 50 characters)

Call Number

Stores the series of letters and numbers assigned to a journal to indicate its location within the library (also known as the shelf mark). (Max. 50 characters)

Source of Information

Source of the reference.

Notes

Enter a brief note from the requester relevant to the request. (Max. 254 characters)
