Select Request Book or Request Article.
Click Submit.
This displays the Book Request or Journal/Article Request form as appropriate.
Validate and type the request details based on the input fields provided.
If the material requested is not a monograph or a journal article (i.e. Audiovisual, Government Doc, Thesis, etc) you may change the Publication Type on the Confirm Delivery Information window. Use the Article Request window for non-monographic information as it provides more flexibility for data entry.
Mandatory input fields display with a red star at the end of the input field.
The more bibliographic information you type, the more information is available when attempting to service the request.
When all bibliographic information has been entered, the user can scroll through the user specific detail fields to confirm the Delivery and Messaging information.
Click Reset Form to clear the input fields of input data.
Click Request Book or Request Article once all data has been entered and validated to submit the request.
A Request Submitted message displays asking you to confirm the submission of the request and then provides the assigned Relais Request Number.
If data for a mandatory field has not been entered, a message displays in red, e.g., Book title is a required field.
If the patron has a valid Messaging E-mail address, an e-mail notification is also sent.
A patron notification is not sent when entering a request via the staff interface. It is sent when entering a request via Relais Access.
